The Original Main Club

Established in 1983, The Main Club was the first openly gay bar in Superior, Wisconsin & also neighboring Duluth, Minnesota.  Owner, Bob Jansen was able to purchase the property and open the first openly gay bar after he won a sexual harrassment suite against the College of Saint Scholastica.  Bob was fired for being gay.  To file a lawsuit in 1983 was a news maker, and to sue a Catholic College was unheard of.  Over the years The Main Club has transformed into the regions Men's Bar!!  At The Main Club it is not unheard of to walk in and find hardcore man-on-man films playing on the televisions.  Shirts can be taken off, and you know never know what you might see.  Come in and view the history of the Duluth Superior Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex community on its walls!  See you here soon!
